NanoImpactNet's next event will be a training workshop over 3 days for young researchers on life-cycle based methods for assessing nanomaterials. The increasing production and use of engineered nanoparticles raises concerns over their safety to human and environmental health. This training workshop will focus on life cycle based methods addressing the importance of the whole life cycle concept of nanoproducts primarily in assessing the hazard and risk of nanoparticles. A basis for the development of adequate methodologies, tools and indicators assessing the life cycle of nanomaterials will be presented. Students will get an overview on the life cycle methods together with the practical training in using life-cycle based tools. Students will receive one ECTS credit point for attending this course.
There is no registration fee for academic participants but they will need to cover their own travel, housing and food (non-academics: 600 EUR for full event). A limited number of travel grants will be available (some limitations apply).
